You’re ruled by Venus and are known for charm and cooperation. You love art and tend to be beautiful in your presentation to the world. You’re interested in fairness and balance so tell me, why are you so difficult sometimes? Lordy.
Libra is a cardinal sign of leadership. Libra knows how it wants things done and can get pretty intense about asserting an agenda. They’re not as ‘in your face’ as their opposite, the brash Aries but they have the same steely will. With Libra, you sort of feel charmed into doing what they want. You are crafty devils, Libra!
Why am I talking about Libra today? Because the Moon is in Libra and I’ve been experiencing an interesting dance with a Libra of late. This person wants control and is not willing to capitulate much. It’s interesting. Just because a sign is known for something (in Libra’s case…charm and cooperation) doesn’t mean they’re doing it.
Aries is not always confident and risk-taking. Taurus is not always grounded and sensual. Gemini is not always clever and upbeat. Cancer is not always loving and nurturing. Leo is not always charismatic and playful. Virgo is not always neat and organized. Scorpio is not always focused and stealthy. Sagittarius is not always free and easy. Capricorn is not always on the top of their game. Aquarius is not always thinking of innovative and new ways to do things. Pisces is not always bringing home all the sad and needy animals and people who cross his or her path.
In fact, sometimes a sign is doing the exact opposite of what it’s known for. We’re striving to be the best qualities of a given sign and grappling with the shadow of a given sign. Each sign is CAPABLE of greatness and VULNERABLE to weakness. Sometimes the weakness is centered around the shame we feel for how we’re built…our very nature. So for the mutable signs (Gemini, Virgo, Sagittarius and Pisces), the shame is often centered around being flighty or undependable. For fixed signs (Taurus, Leo, Scorpio and Aquarius), shame tends to be about being too rigid and stubborn. Cardinal signs (Aries, Cancer, LIBRA and Capricorn) get shamed for being controlling and bossy.
So Libra, I understand why you need things done a certain way. You want it RIGHT and you want it LOVELY. This is all well and good. It would be even better if you could come out and say it straight up but then that might not be ‘nice’ or ‘pretty.’ Don’t let the need for harmony keep you from going after what you want. You’re one, tough cookie!
Speaking of the scales, I threw my hip joint out at a dance class this morning (have any of you ever experienced this? WTH??)! Now I’m walking around with a major hitch in my gait. Talk about imbalanced. I’m too young for this sh!t and the Libra in me is not afraid to say it! I’ll be writing scopes this week from bed, bossing everyone else around. It’s my prerogative as a cardinal sign and I’m not afraid to be what I’m built for. Being in charge…
