A very Happy Full Moon in Leo to you! Leo is playful and warm; generous and magnetic but beware! The unbalanced side of Leo brings out a wicked pout and deep feelings of being unappreciated and misunderstood. The Full Moon in Leo intensifies our need to be seen. We want to be praised and adored if possible and if we don’t get what we want, we might just throw the world’s biggest tantrum.
Some of us will feel this more keenly than others. If you have fire signs in your chart (Aries, Leo or Sagittarius) you’ll get behind the big tantrum. For other more reserved types (those with a lot of air…Gemini, Libra and Aquarius) the explosion might happen on a much more internal level. Either way, we’re grappling with pain right now, the pain of feeling like no one recognizes our spirit and the good things we bring to the table.
This moon asks us to explore new avenues of communication. We need outlets for the repressed feelings that are pushing to get out. This surge of unexpressed energy could lead to a masterpiece of some kind. Leo is known for being creative and charismatic. Harness this energy and put it to work. Don’t waste it on a messy outburst that might create more trouble than it’s worth. Notice the intensity happening and decide to use it to make things even better. Yes, the recognition will come.
The other important message we get with this moon is that we need time to play. We can’t be all work and not play. This will also lead to terrible feelings of resentment, so start planning a party or social event to help take the edge off the edge. Celebrating life ought to be mandatory but because it isn’t, make it a priority in your own life. Give yourself permission to celebrate and enjoy all the fruits of your labor. Appreciate and know your own worth so that it doesn’t matter as much if you get noticed or not.
