We’re building up for a full moon on Friday, just in time for Valentine’s Day. Leo loves love. It’s one of those signs that saves every love letter and token of affection from years and years ago. Leo appreciates big displays and dramatic gestures. This full moon can inflate our need to be seen and appreciated.On the flip side, Leo can get pretty grumpy when ignored, marginalized or taken for granted.

At home? In partnership or friendship? In your relationship with your own body, mind and spirit? Let’s reflect on this a bit…
The full moon in Leo is stoking unconscious needs, expectations and wounds. We may have an idea of how we want and need to be celebrated and we might have an expectation that someone is going to show up and do it. We might not even realize we have this need to be seen and validated. If we’re not aware of this need and we have an expectation that it will be met, then we’re going to feel pretty disappointed if it doesn’t happen. It’s important to get a handle on these expectations as we move toward the weekend.
Staying awake to our own needs helps us get them met. We can more consciously and playfully get the validation we need when we know we need it! The full moon in Leo helps us grapple with this and we may even discover that we’re uncomfortable with just wanting to be appreciated. This moon helps us find the barriers that prevent more love and appreciation from coming our way. Wow. It’s time to get some healing happening around worthiness, don’t you think?
Use this moon to suss out how much you’re able to receive, on all levels. Healthy Leo knows she deserves to be praised and adored. She is a queen! She’s also wise enough to ask for what she needs, when she needs it. It’s only when she’s off kilter that she sits back and expects care and then rages when it doesn’t show up the way she wants it. Yes, this is the shadow of Leo. The entitled, bossy, brassy brat! She’s still lovable but finds it more difficult to be fulfilled.
Stay awake to what you need. Be loud and proud about it. Use amusement to lift the mood. It’s fun to be fun and Leo knows how to make even the most mundane stuff interesting and fun. Be the star you are and let everyone see your light. Let that light be the validation you need.
